"Bright Hope D.C." is a part of a watercolor angel series Eva Makk embarked upon during these uncertain times with the Corona Virus impacting everyone's lives in more ways than one. It's been a long time since Eva Makk has painted watercolors. These are very special, unique and one of a kind creations. In this painting, a guardian angel is looking out for the White House and Washington D.C. during the hardships of COVID19.
"By an incredible chain of events my life was spared numerous times. As time marched on I was destined to become an artist. I went on to paint epic murals and ceilings in churches, cathedrals, chapels and other religious buildings in Brazil and North America. Even in my nonreligious paintings I have accentuated the positive, goodness, love, caring, belief, and respect of humanity. I wish to bring forth love, peace, and optimism in all my paintings. Now I realize why I was spared so often. It is why I created this new series. Through this new angel collection I named "Bright Hope," I feel now is the appropriate time for me to share these images of hope and light throughout the world." - Eva Makk, May 2020
